MNT Pilates Studio, San Francisco

What a thrill it was for us to be a part of this project. A complete renovation of a very dark space with small compartmentalized areas, the new studio tripled in size. Our main objection was opening everything up. When making selections for the design scheme, we concentrated on the light ethereal feeling that MNTStudio conveys. When we discovered that the ceilings housed exposed beams and skylights, we took the opportunity to open it all up and whitewash it. With soft grey floors, white walls and ceiling, it gives the impression of an open air space. The perfect setting for the pilates, yoga, barre classes to take place. From the paint colors to the furniture selections every decision was curated with this aesthetic in mind. Elements such as carrara marble accent walls, brass fixtures, and textural details strategically placed around the studio, our hope was to motivate and continue the relaxing feeling long after you leave.
